In principe niet behandelen bij immuuncompetente kinderen.

Algemene opmerkingen

Infectie is zelflimiterend in immuuncompetente patiënten.

Iedere antibiotische therapie is omstreden, effectiviteit in immuungecompromitteerde is zeer beperkt. Beste therapie bij infecties in immuungecompromitteerde is het herstellen van de eigen afweer.
